GRAPHIC DESIGN
I first learned how to manipulate images with ImageReady CS2 in middle school. That developed into a love of Adobe Photoshop, and I tacked on Abobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator during my time at the University of Missouri. While working for Cox Media Group from 2015-2018, I used Photoshop to edit hundreds of images, and — despite the typically strict journalistic setting — was able to get creative when it made sense.
I've also applied my interest in graphic design to the music world. The image on the left is cover art for the band Flip Rushmore (more information in my portfolio's "Music" section). In this case, I commissioned the unique font (top left), used my own photographs (background and birdhouses in foreground) and even used my own handwriting (the quiet "D-D-T" in the lower third). I'll include a few other examples of my work below.
